Reflexology is a very ancient form of healing based on the principle that every organ, gland and part of the body corresponds with certain areas on the feet and hands. It is a complementary therapy and during a treatment any ailments are often detected by the presence of crystal deposits, which feel like gritty areas. Specific massage techniques break down these crystalline structures, encouraging the release of toxins through stimulation of lymphatic and circulatory systems therefore restoring balance and homeostasis to the body as a whole.
Even if someone is in relatively good health reflexology is very effective at treating tiredness, stress and tension and as well as preventing ill health.
Reflexology can help with many things such as:
- Recovery after injury/sports injury
- Pain reduction - migraines, back pain, IBS
- Fertility, hormonal imbalances
- Sleep disorders - aids relaxation
- Emotional problems
- Balances the nervous, digestive circulatory systems
- Detoxifies the body enabling better functionality all over
- Stress and many more
The treatment is carried out with you laying fully clothed in a very comfortable and supportive recliner chair, it is not painful or ticklish, it is very relaxing and pleasurable.
